Release 0.96 added the Player Journal, a private in-character book opened from the ESC menu or the U key, with bookmarks and sections. Your character takes out a ledger while writing.
Authored Books let anyone write a book with an empty book, a quill and ink. A finished book can be published, traded and read by others, and Philosophers can scribe copies and use richer formatting.
The notice board, Raven Post and post box were restyled in wood, and ten playtest repairs came with the release. It ran on Development first and reached Production with 0.97.1.
